Waiting on babies | A farm inspired maternity shoot

murfreesboro maternity photographer Oh my goodness, where do I start? This is my gorgeous best friend and she is having twins! Yes! TWINS! I know, it has taken me the last 6 months to come to terms with that and to understand that there are TWO babies in there. And I am still not quite sure that I truly have accepted that until I meet both the lil fellas. : ) From the very moment I found out, I was so extremely excited for her and this amazing journey she was about to take as a momma of THREE boys! We met for dinner one evening just like we always do. I ordered a drink. She said that she would just have water. You see, I had been here before. Tim and I were living in California, we met Jess in Vegas while she was on a business trip. We sat down at a restaurant. And she said, I will just have water. It took me about a half a second to realize what that meant. She was expecting her first son! I shrieked in excitement then for her and I just couldn’t believe that my bestie was starting her journey as a mom. Well, this time, in the restaurant I knew what, “I will just have water” meant again. Now, it’s not that we drink it up all the time, but if we are going out for a girls night, we at least each have a glass of wine or a beer! So I shrieked at the top of my lungs in excitement! This was the greatest news ever! I knew that Jess longed for a second child dearly. Then she slid the ultrasound over to me. I though, hmmmm so great, I get to see the baby! Yes! Then I looked down. Something didn’t seem right. You see, I had looked at a lot of ultrasounds over the years and never had I seen so much stuff happening on one ultrasound. As I tried to make what I was looking at out, I saw writing. It read, “Twin A” & “Twin B”!!! I shrieked again but this time soooo much louder. By now the entire restaurant was looking at us. I had to tell everyone she was having twins! It was the greatest night ever and this was the greatest news all year! I have never been so excited for someone in my entire life. And I carry that excitement with me to this day and cannot wait to meet these lil fellas when they make their arrival into the world in two short weeks! My bestie will be a momma of three boys. No one in this entire world deserves three beautiful and amazing boys more than she does. She is one of the most amazing people that I know and the strongest mom I have ever known. Her strength inspires me. I have never met a mom like her. I know that she will be incredible on this journey. No matter what God gives this woman, she can handle it. She should be an inspiration to moms everywhere! Jess, I love you and I cannot wait to meet your precious boys! They will be incredible just like you! I just loved spending time with her on her families farm this day and taking some amazing shots of her and that sweet baby belly!
