Wow! Nashville sure has had a bizarre winter and delayed spring! I am not used to getting ice storms in the middle of February or snow storms in March! I don’t know about everyone else, but it was a pleasant and welcomed surprise for every member of my family to have had all this special time together. The kiddos were out of school, A LOT, and our family got to spend some unplanned quality time with one another that we otherwise would not have had. When we get hit with ice, even snow, we are pretty stranded up here on our little hill of ours. Unless you have a pair of ski’s you aren’t getting down! It was so nice to be taken out of the every day routine schedule and have several days of play time with no where to be and nothing to do! On the very 1st morning of the ice storm, my darling Carlee looked outside and said, “Momma! I want to be like Elsa in the snow!” Bless her. I said, “great idea, but lets make it a quick one!!!” So we grabbed our coats, snatched the camera & ran out to the back yard. We threw the coat off and within a few seconds, I snatched some sweet Elsa shots of her for her fairytale wall! These are some of my favorites of her ever. Although it was freezing cold and it was only for a moment, you can see the excitement on her face and the joy it brought to her to have this moment as Elsa in the snow. As I sit here and stare at these images of her, I realize how one day when my sweet little girl is all grown up, they will bring me back to this moment in time. A moment when she was just a little girl, with not a care in the world, and completely smitten with fairytales. I am sure when that day comes, I will have tears in my eyes. These days as a parent go so fast. I am in disbelief that we have a seven year old as of last week and that Carlee will be four already later this year! I am so excited to have images like these of her to cherish forever. Ladies & gentlemen, Queen Elsa… : )
