We are now a family of FIVE! We can happily announce that on June 29th at 11:49 in the morning we welcomed our 2nd baby boy, Noah Stephen, into the world! All 8 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches of him, and he is absolutely beautiful! I sit here and just stare at him all day taking in every tiny adorable inch. I guess by your third you realize just how fast these sweet baby days go, and I find myself wanting to capture every single second. That is definitely a constant struggle of mine that comes with the hustle and bustle of raising three kiddos. Some days, I really want a pause button! Hmmm, but on the other hand, sometimes we may need a fast forward or a do over button! Haha!
Noah looks so much like Andrew that I swear we have had this baby before! He has daddy’s adorable chin, gorgeous dark grey blue eyes, and the longest little fingers and biggest hands you ever did see. Noah hates to hiccup, loves staring at his bears hanging over his changing table, smiles sweet smiles when he sleeps, loves hearing his big brother and sister talk, hates it when he is not being held, and loves to cry…. A LOT! He has the cutest little hair swirl on the back of his head! We are watching it very closely to see if he keeps his brown hair like Carlee or loses it all like Andrew and comes back blonde. It would be interesting to see a brown headed little Andrew running around! : )
The past 5 weeks have really flown by as we adapt to having a baby in the house again. I almost forgot about the lack of sleep, never ending diapers, and constant struggles to find five seconds to shower or eat! Good thing we do forget those things or we may never have more babies right? : ) We are all pretty smitten with him and Andrew and Carlee think he is the greatest little baby ever. He must receive at least two dozen kisses from sissy a day and a dozen “Hi Noah’s” in the sweetest voice ever from Andrew as they stare and smile at him with so much love. We are truly blessed. I just hope they remember that love when he starts running around stealing their toys and terrorizing them soon!
Noah is having some discomfort and it has been a difficult few weeks, but we are just so thankful to have him here with us and healthy. We are still trying to find the root of Noah’s discomfort. Whether it be a milk protein allergy, acid reflux or something more, I hope that we can get it figured out and that he feels better real soon! Its hard knowing that he is not feeling good and not knowing what we can do about it to help him feel better. You can just tell that he is soooo incredibly miserable and it breaks my heart. My first two were never like this and my heart goes out to all mommas who have to go through something like this with their baby. Its tough. Really really tough. Some days I feel like crying with him, but instead, I praise God every day for this miracle baby and that he is here and healthy and that is what matters most!
Luckily, I started doing Noah’s pictures on day 9! This was hard having had a cesarian, but each day I knew my short window of a deep sleeping poseable baby was closing quickly! Even though I did not get as many different shots as I had planned for, I managed to get some really adorable shots that I am really happy with. I cannot wait to get them up on our wall! I hope you love them as much as I do. Meet our precious Noah…
Here is a little behind the scenes clip of me posing Noah in the studio using the custom designed newborn chair! Love this adorable chair! He was just so comfy but would not let me touch his feet! Haha, sounds like his daddy. : ) Posing Video
