I was so excited to get a call from Jessica telling me she was engaged and that she wanted me to be a part of their big day!  You see, Jessica is a part of one of the sweetest families I know!  Her sister, Jennifer, is one of my bff’s, and her mom is my sweet Carlee’s preschool teacher, and I just love them all to pieces.  Josh & Jessica’s wedding is going to be a very special one in my books because I feel like a part of the family already!

Josh proposed to Jessica last forth of July during the fireworks display in Illinois! While we didn’t have a fireworks display for the engagement shoot, we did have one GORGEOUS afternoon at the lake!  I love this session!  It is such a great example of why I like to shoot at certain times of the day.  We had gorgeous light coming through the trees in the beginning, then we had the beautiful orange glow in the field at golden hour, ending with a beautiful blue and pink sky!  Josh and Jessica were total rockstars by the end of the shoot! I just loved it!  Seriously cannot wait for their wedding in August!  In the meantime, enjoy some of my favorites of their engagement shoot!
