So…is anyone thinking, “what in the world?” from the title of today’s blog? Hehe! Well, let me fill you in on the details of this CrAzy shoot!  It is one I will not likely forget!

First, I want to say how stoked I was when I was contacted by Ashlee telling me that her and Adam were expecting and they wanted me to be a part of it. I am so excited for them and this journey that they are about to take as parents!  And I am so happy they chose me to document these special moments for them in the coming weeks and months!  It is always so awesome watching a couple become parents for the very first time and it is so very special.

The day of the shoot, we met and headed out to a huge farm in the middle of no where just outside Castilian Springs!  It is always exciting when my clients know just where they want to have their shoot, because I get to shoot somewhere new! When we arrived, we were driving around this 600+ farm searching for the perfect place to begin shooting when Adam and I spotted the largest mountain lion dart through the giant field!  We had to do a double take and ask ourselves, was that really a mountain lion? Sure did look like one!!! Turns out later that it really was, as they caught it on a game camera later in the week!!!

Eeeek! So…hmmm…here we were about to get out in this large field to shoot, exactly where the “mountain lion” ran through, wondering… is he watching us? Is there more than one? Will he be back?  Needless to say, it was a little hard to remain focused on shooting while feeling like prey! Lol. Good thing Adam was armed! That is why he is only in a few of the field shots…we felt a tad bit vulnerable when he was in the shot too! But don’t worry, we get more of Adam later when we felt in a better and safer place!  And for the record, I could not help but keep looking for a mountain lion lurking in the background while editing all of these! : )

Seriously though….isn’t Ashlee GORGEOUS!!! I am in love with her vibrant red hair! I am in love with her entire shoot!  Stunning Ashlee! You are one gorgeous momma!
